We were here last night and had a great dining experience and our waiter was great. He is new and from Texas; made us laugh and was enjoyable. I guess at some point Capone's stopped offering their Tuesday special, but just wanted to let everyone know it's back - Half off your second pizza! Enjoy!!

Pizza was OK. Huge thick crust edge and floppy NY style center that the grease soaked through. I was there with my parents, dad had a burger that he loved (although a tad overdone) and mom had a salad she really liked- and she's picky about salads. Service was good. It's a bar atmosphere, but good for kids.

I prefer to pay a fair price for draft beer. Beer here is overpriced. Likely reason is because they have so many taps, they have to pay high prices to accommodate the many 1/6 barrels they fit rather than the better priced 1/2 barrels. But the pizza is also overpriced. Although a very successful local pub, I also question the character of anyone who grew up a Yankee fan but switched to the Red Sox while in CDA. Fair weather sports fan or couldn't handle the drunk Yankee haters on the west coast?

Needed a late lunch so again checked my triple D app cross checked my Yelp app and Capone's here we come!! First our waitress, I think her name was Christy, (good reason to do your reviews quickly) was probably the best I've ever had!! She could answer every question I had about the menu, where the food comes from, the place, and suggested great cocktail choices. Oh and for you beer lovers their motto is they have more taps than tables and they did!! We again tried the featured DDD sandwich the triple cheese cheese burger....awesome! With the advice of our trusty server mom and I split it which was an excellent idea. My mom had a cup of clam chowder and me a side salad. Perfect place for a meal anytime!! Excellent outdoor seating in yet another quaint neighborhood.

It's a Coeur d'Alene Staple! Great food and service, get's pretty packed and noisy sometimes.

  • Sam W.

What makes this place great is the servers! Been here twice now and the food was great and the servers were quite prompt with our refills and checking to see how our food was. Looking forward to coming back. Oh, we came on Thursday night football. Noisy and loud but the servers never forgot about us.

Decent beer selection, average quality food and average customer service. No boom, but no bust either. Worth the visit.

A CDA staple that I've yet to understand. I wonder how long this place can milk their diners, drive ins, and dive fame. The beer rotation is decent and they do have quite a few televisions but the none of that can overcome just how awful the service is here. And its consistently bad. It's easily the worst in CDA and no amount of greasy pizza or craft beer can make up for it. I would imagine these guys are a competitive sports bar away from being put out of business once people realize that there a better options that don't include being assaulted by a drunk owner or having to deal with awful service.

    (1)
  • Amy A.

Ample amounts of televisions and beer on draft. We sat at the bar and it was not very busy so I guess I thought the service would be a little quicker. The food was okay. Pub food and it was fine. My the meatball (meatball sub or grinder if you are from where I am) had marinara that was a little sweet for my liking. Their regular fries are thin and ok. Their boneless wings were definitely edible, not something I would go back for. Mediocre experience. Locals seem to LOVE it.

Freaking AMAZING!!! The Memphis pizza was delicious, the garlic cheese fries...OMG!!!, and the Heath bar cheesecake is to die for!! Even BETTER was the incredible service! John made us feel BEYOND welcome, suggested the perfect beer pairings for our pizza, and really kept us smiling! WOW!! Totally impressed! Thank you John!!!!!

Busy. Boisterous. Family Friendly. We actually chose this place based on reviews we read, and we were not disappointed. We were a little uncomfortable when first walking in with two teenagers (standard bar feel), but within 10 minutes, the place filled up and there were several families with kids, the boys felt more at ease. The food really is very good. Our table ordered BBQ Chicken Wings, Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich, the TNT Burger with fries, and two 9" pizzas/Ham and Pineapple/Pepperoni and Meatball. Food was delivered very fast and hot. My only complaint was that we saw our waitress only twice at the very beginning. We did not get checked on. I don't think it was entirely her fault as we saw her behind the bar quite a bit, and I didn't notice any other tables having server issues. We will definitely be back!!

Two different local folks recommended Capone's to us. I enjoyed my burger (the meat is ground on site and the buns are cooked on site too) and my husband liked his sandwich, but what was really good was the fries! My side dish was a cold pasta salad with peas, which was too salty for me. There was an extensive beer list and an ok wine list. Limited dessert menu. The vibe was good and the service was great. I'd like to go back and try their pizza, although most people seemed to be ordering sandwiches.

  • Ben R.

The pizza was really tasty! A good thin crust with good sauce and cheeses. Had the blue ribbon special (only available in August) and the Hawaiian. The only complaint was that the pizza was a bit greasy. Cool interior with lots of great sports memorabilia.

I grew up in Massachusetts and when I saw Grinders on a menu in Idaho, I knew I had to check it out. Walked in and was immediately greeted by the owner Tom. He was very personable and welcoming to our entire group. Our waiter John was also a big hit with everyone. Service was excellent and last but certainly not least the food was outstanding... from pizza to burgers to grinders, we had them all. My wife really liked the sweet hot mustard sauce on her grinder. If you are ever in or passing through Coeur D'Alene, I highly recommend a stop at Capone's.

I guess it could be pretty sad when the servers know you and your usual order.............but this place is like a home away from home. The servers have been there for a long time and its always nice to see a familiar face. Either for family dinner ..... late night drink after a date or to watch the sport championships on the dozen of TV's - this place has what you need. Cold beer, great pizza and sandwiches - Thanks Tom for opening Capone's all those years ago !

Great place for comfort food. Fries are delicious and the chicken wings are also really good. I ordered a burger but everyone else was raving about their pizzas. I came on a Friday night and despite being really busy it was easy to get a table for five people. I can imagine how crazy and crowded it gets on game days!

    (4)
  • Jeff A.

Love this place. When we lived there we would eat there at least once a week. Great place to watch a game. Friendly people. Miss the place.

Typical sports bar with average food, average prices and average staff. The atmosphere is a lot of fun during football season but if you aren't going for the game you are missing out on an awesome meal somewhere else.

Okay I have been here a few times on my own and for a meat eater and beer drinker it is heaven. I have had pizzas, the fish n chips, the pastrami dip, and Mara just tried the pizza Blanco. She doesn't eat meat so I really worried about selection. She said yummy and ate the whole thing ( small pizza). We had the chowder (thanks for the Saturday serving) and it was yummy as well. Great vibe in this place although it gets loud so if noise is an issue come at off times.

Stopped by on our way home from Artwalk in CDA. It was our first visit and had heard great things so our expectations were high. Since the weather was nice we opted to eat outdoors. After sitting our waitress came by after about 5 minutes to take our drink orders. We waited another 20 minutes to actually receive them. We had considered leaving but noticed the waitress was working all the outdoor seating herself and decided to give some grace. We ordered our meals, me- the monthly special Chicken Cordon Blue pizza and my wife- Fun Guy burger. Again there was a significant wait that the waitress said was due to the pizza. But I would argue that the 40 minutes to receive our food was not due to the pizza. The establishment was about 2/3 full so it really shouldn't havent taken that long. Once our dinner arrived it looked very good. The burger was cooked as ordered and I am told was very good. The side salad was also fresh and plentiful. The pizza was incredible. It will be making it to the top of my local pizza list. It is too bad that this is only a monthly special and not a permanent fixture on the menu. All I can say is that I hope they get the service side of the house tuned up a bit because it's a shame to come in so poorly when the food side is so good. Based on the food alone I will be back. I'll just make sure we plan some extra time.

Could not have been better. Atmosphere, service, and food are all spectacular!! Best Italian sausage grinder I have ever had!! They bake their own bread and it is delicious. Everything is amazing. You have to eat here!

Absolutely amazing! Great atmosphere, beer, and food!! 4 different types of pizza and everyone loved them all! Not only fun for date night but for the Framily as well!!

FAVORITE bar/pub in the area. Great beer, awesome food and super nice servers. Favorites include the artichoke spread, hummus and the Roosevelt salad! But really all of the food is delicious. We find ourselves here at least once a week. Sometimes its a little crazy/busy, but its def the popular local hangout bar for Cda. Family friendly also.

Great Sports Bar in CDA! Plenty of TVs airing a variety of sports. Food was excellent. My husband, who is from Buffalo, NY, thought the wings were some of the better ones he has had outside of buffalo. I had the ultimate cheese burger and was very satisfied.

One of the best north idaho food picks - good for catching the game or catching up with friends over a beer. I recommend asking for the local brewery offerings, such as Selkirk's beers. Seat yourself, but after that you'll be getting good service! Great pizza, the Heartblocker is my favorite. The wings & garlic fries are also great. Skip the salads, there's better offerings & you can be better to your belly tomorrow.

  • Kisha B.

Great atmosphere and great food. We started with the garlic cheese fries. They were delicious. Crispy and cheesy. I had the small pesto chicken pizza. The small was just right for one person. Dear hubby had the famous pastrami sandwich. He loved it.

Pizza was lousy. We used to enjoy them. Beer is reasonably priced but $11.50 for a martini! Unbelievable!! Our last trip here

Yumm! The have the best food for lunches. I highly recommend the fish and chips or chef salads. Burgers are great there too. The fries are awes own an the ice cold beer is great. It's a cool ace to watch the game or eat outside if your not into the sports theme. It's great

  • Savannah R.

A DDD worthy place, the garlic fries were amazing, the salad was crisp and delicious, and the hubbs burger was made just as he asked. We will be back when we are in the area again. Note, this place packs the house for ALL Seahawks games, there will not be seating for your party if you don't go early.

Best sandwich ever! The service was great. The bread is made fresh every day and they have many beers on tap! We will be back and bring friends and family.

  • Gabe E.

Not really good or bad. Though everything was fine nothing stood out, my Buffalo chicken wings and diner salad were good but my waitress was off the mark. It was Friday night and the place was busy so I'll probably come back and try again.

  • Kevin G.

Great food, service, beer. Had the Philly Cheese Steak with garlic fries. Very good and lots of different dipping sauces for them. Atmosphere was bar type, but kid friendly, not too loud. Lots of TVs to look at. Lots of people to watch also. Busy place but great service and fast. Will be back.

I absolutely think Capone's has the best wings in town! The thai peanut bone in wings are amazing! You will lick every finger after eating these bad boys! Customer service is pretty slow but the food is great and I highly recommend the bone in wings to everyone! Yummmmm!

  • John O.

I was excited to try this place while driving through town.after all, it's been on triple D... Diners Drive ins and Dives. The service was not good despite the restaurant being less than half full. It was a basic pub menu with nothing special. The food was not worth the price, the "home made" soup came out ice cold. Kids menu is a throw on with no thought to quality. Best dish at our table was the chef's special french dip. Not worth the price or the stop.

    (1)
  • Laura C.

I do not get the appeal. I think "dive" part of "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" is appropriate. Wait staff are usually MEH. Noisy, smelly, sticky floors and tables. I have been to two of their locations but not the Hayden one, it might be better. On the plus side my husband is thrilled with the beer selection.

  • Kyle Myers M.

Great place for beer and great pub food. Definitely a must for anyone traveling to couer d'aleane.

My favorite midtown watering hole. The beer selection is the BEST! in town. The food is pretty good too.

  • K S.

I love their drink menu, outdoor seating is perfect in the summer! They have a great menu and everything tastes very fresh. I love coming here with my kids because it's loud and no one cares. Fun place to watch games and hang out with friends.

  • Anne B.

Capones used to be a friendly extension of my living room back in the good old days. The wait staff was very attentive and like family. They had stiff drinks, excellent wings, and pinball. Ever since Douches and Drive Ins came to town, the service has tanked as well as the food. They fired or relocated all the best servers. My last two salads were sopping in oily 'dressing' and one made me sick. They have a minimum party size policy and I was asked to leave with my party of 3 at a 4 top. Instead of changing tables, I walked out the door and will never be back. I have spent literally thousands of dollars here over the years and it is just sad. If you want to have any kind of Capones experience, go to Post Falls or Hayden locations. Some of the good staff still work there.

    (2)
  • Megan S.

So yum!! Had soup, salad, cheese bread and my husband had the Italian grinder with fat fries. We rolled into town late and were so happy they served dinner until midnight. Super fun atmosphere and great service. We will be back for sure!

Over all we were underwhelmed. While the fOod was awesome, service was not. We went out for our brothers 21st birthday and we were told they could have a shot on the house. It took at 45 minutes from us sitting down to even have our order taken. Rarely checked on. It was as tho our server did the absolute bare minimum because she knew that she would recieve automatic 18% added gratuity since we were in a large group. Honestly it wasn't even worth 10% and thats hard for us to say as most of us work as servers as well. No excuse as the restaurant was not even close to half way full. The only saving grace to our experience at capones was the delicious food. Horrible service. And when we received our check. The "on the house birthday shots" were rang in.

During our Labor Day road trip to MT & ID, Capone's offered good food and a welcome respite away from the Sherman Avenue madness. My Thai Chicken Pizza was quite good, though arguably not as spicy as the menu might imply. I was also pleased with the fresh, ample side salad I got for only $4. The only bummer here was that the yellow jackets were quite a nuisance in the outdoor seating area. One of my friends actually got stung, and our server acknowledged it has just been a bad year for the pests. There are yellow jacket traps hung around outside, so clearly Capone's is trying to address the issue--if you'll be distracted by stinging insects scoping out your pizza, you might want to opt for indoor seating.

  • Gary J.

Capone's gets an extra star for being a fun place. The pastrami sandwich on freshly baked bread rocks, served with melted cheese on top and a dill pickle slice on the edge with a side of Caesar salad and extra pickle wedge. I recommend sticking with the grinder sandwiches or burger. The Thai boneless chicken wings were pretty good too. If you are into sports, mega TVs everywhere, and goings-on around you including "Christmas in July" festivities; this is your place in CDA. Conversation at your table -- for-get-about-it! Very load

The Idaho Nachos are great! they use thinly sliced waffle potatoes fries. Service was fast and the food was delicious,

Friendly wait staff, great atmosphere, and good, affordable food. Brought our 3 year-old son and they had a good kids' menu. I ordered a salad and the lettuce was very crisp and fresh. Also, the bathrooms were very clean!

  • Bryan P.

The staff are fantastic, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is electric! I always enjoy a cold cider and game at Capone's, along with the philly cheese steak - naturally. The place gets packed but the service is still pretty fast, I'm always impressed. Oh yeah I almost forgot to mention the epic garlic fries - a true game changer. A must stop when in CDA or any of the other locations!

Good ambience ... Great beer selection ... Good pizzas ... Good food all around (typical bar & grill fare, but done well) ... Good service ... Nothing overly memorable, but you certainly get your money's worth and are never disappointed.

One of my favorite places to eat. Always great service and a good atmosphere. Really good beer and food. Boneless chicken wings and thia pizza is the best.

  • Leslie H.

Hubby and I came here while on a road trip stop in town. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the variety of beers on tap. We had the capones pizza which was quite tasty, but a bit too packed with toppings for the crust to upstand. The boneless wings were probably some of the best I've had in my life! They were just perfectly fried, good quality chunks of chicken. We had the buffalo sauce on them and it had some kick so watch out!

Was in town this weekend and ate here, not good or bad. Had a burger that was a little on the crispy side.

    (3)
  • Andrea D.

The Irish pub atmosphere and location is great. Prices and service was good. Beer selection on tap was excellent. Food was below average, but none of us ordered pizza. Slider bread was dry, my friend got a different burger than he ordered, and the fries were overcooked by at least two minutes. Maybe we came in at a bad time, so I would be willing to try again this summer.

Continous to be outstanding, best pizza in the northwest, fantastic sandwiches, more taps than tables. And for you that know Fenway the color is right but you don't have to put up with the Fenway smell.

  • E K.

Went there while on vacation after seeing Capone's on Food Networks Triple D. The pizza is nothing special and burgers are below average run of the mill burger. The food is overpriced !!!! Kind of an old run down place, strong sewer smell outside the back entrance-gross !!! Will not be going there again. Guy needs to take his Triple D award back

    (1)
  • Daniel M.

Went with a friend for just a beer and snack. Boneless wings were pretty good. BOTH our beers were dead flat. We had drank a couple ounces and decided they were undrinkable so we told our server. He said he wondered if that would be the case, thanked us for letting him know and got the CO2 system changed. Despite this he never offered to replace or comp our un drank beers(SERIOUSLY??????). That's just poor service. I'll never go back if I'm in Cour De Alene again.

When ever we come to town we stop here. I will even have lunch and dinner the same day here. Huge selection of Craft beer. Super pizza done right. Good burgers. You have to upgrade the to the garlic fries. I try to hit the places from DDD and this one didn't disappoint.

After reading all the reviews here on Yelp, we dicided to give Capone's a try. The place was packed on this Friday night. But we managed to be seated quickly. Our server was promptly at our table for our drink and food order. To our surprise, considering how busy it was, drinks and food arrived quickly. I had the "famous" pastrami sandwich and my wife the Hawaiian pizza. The sandwich was great! Lean pastrami on a fresh roll w/pickle on the side and fries. Delicious. My wife's Hawaiian pizza was excellent also. This place is loud and busy. So if you like quiet dinning, pass Capone's by. If there is a drawback, it's the pricing. A tad on the high side in my opinion. But still within a reasonable dinner expendature.

  • Ann H.

The best pizza we have had in years! Because we thought the pizza was so good the next night we ordered a Caesar salad and cheesecake. Everything was outstanding. Yes, we went 2 nights in a row and we won't miss going back on our next trip to town.

  • Gwen B.

Clearly a popular choice for Coeur d'Alene. I had the buffalo chicken salad and my man got the pesto salad. Both were great. I felt like my salad had just enough dressing and tasted like a basket of hot wings. The other half would've liked more dressing (maybe ask for extra if you like a lot. I don't.) I also had the vanilla bourbon stout. Yum. Bonus points for having Manny's on tap too. Staff is friendly. We also tried the garlic fries. Nice and garlicky though I don't love jo-jos. Props for having hand cut ones at least.

  • Kasey L.

Love their pizza! Their crust is so fluffy and amazing. Their meatball and hamburger sliders are delicious. The taco pizza is a must try! The pastrami is tasty. Any time I have people from out of town, Capones is a go to spot!

  • Kym T.

Came here on 4th of July after the parade ended. We got our table quickly but waited a bit for our beers & food. The place was pretty jam packed. The hostess (owner?) bought us a round. We knew were were walking into a busy spot anyways. Our server was very nice too. We tried the chicken pizza & cheesesteak that Guy had (as so noted on the menu). My taste in pizza crust, I need alittle char. The crust was really good but I would want it a little crisper. I really liked all the taps jutting out of the ceiling/walls.

Pubs are always awesome. At least that's my personal opinion. However, it's the food that can make it or break it. At Capone's, the food made me fall in love (the service was a bit off but I won't mention it again. Doesn't even matter when you're eating food made from a fat man's utopia.) We started with the Idaho Nachos. Why isn't this a thing anywhere else?! Idaho Nachos are ten times better than any regular nachos! Instead of tortilla chips, they use thinly sliced and slightly fried potatoes. It's genius! I could have stopped here and been extremely impressed. Alas, I moved on.... For my main course, I decided to try Guy's choices from Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. They must have altered the menu after he left because each item that he tried is marked with a little cartoon picture of his head next to the name. I went with the Ultimate Cheeseburger and Garlic Fries. The cheeseburger was divine. The fries were very addicting. They were steak-cut and the seasoning was just right. In addition, I tried my co-worker's Pasta Salad and it had a great kick! I think our waitress said they use jalapenos. If I ever go back to Coeur d'Alene, I'll definitely be stopping back here for round 2.

What a fun place. It reminds me of Cheers but more fun. Lots of beer on tap and the food is outstanding. Lots of nice down to earth waitstaff. This place is busy but very has an easy going atmosphere. Did I mention the food. It's ALL made from scratch.

    (5)
  • Michael W.

Without a doubt, this is THE place where the locals go. It wasn't any accident that Guy from DDD came here. If you are visiting and need a place to go, this is it. Microbrews abound and the food is high quality...no "bar food" here. More taps than tables has been their slogan for years...you won't be disappointed.

    (5)
  • Ryan A.

I seem to end up at Capone's at least once a week. Why? -Good food -Great beer selection -Always someone there you know to chat with (including staff/owners/etc.) It got a little crazy there after the whole Guy Fieri appearance, and is still busy during peak hours, but it's back to a bearable level again. Some call it the "Cheers" of CDA. If nothing else it is the epicenter of Midtown.

    (5)
  • Nick M.

What a pleasant surprise. A very good pub with excellent bar food and great service. While visiting family went to Capones twice and must say I was not disappointed. The beer was cold, the waiters were there when needed but not a pain and all of the food choices were excellent. Burgers, fries, turkey sandwiches, and pizza all passed muster. We will be back on our next visit. Was there during a Boise State game so it was very noisy, but hell, it is a sports bar so if you want quiet, there is a lovely cemetery not far away.

    (5)
  • Brad S.

Let's be glad that the closest Old Chicago is in Boise, because Capone's does it a hell of a lot better. The sports bar-theme is nothing new (though patterning it from "Taxi" certainly is - that was a fine show), the focus on good food, including freshly-ground meat and tossed pizza pies is cool, too, but you still have some places that are doing that, too. The kicker comes at the taps - 41 great microbrews offering the best of the Northwest. And it's not like at OC where half of them are crap either - you got four or five crappy domestics to please the uninformed, and the rest your taste buds get to explore. Having very recently had a burger, I opted for the second-largest area of the menu and go for a pizza. Feeling ca-razy, I went with a taco pizza, which some pizzerias kinda half-ass by throwing some lettuce on a cheese pizza and calling it good, but Capone's put some thought into the conception of the pie, utilizing a salsa base, mozzarella, ground beef, lettuce, tomato, onions, cheddar, crushed tortilla chips, and cilantro. Aside from going the distance on the ingredients, the leafy vegetables weren't cooked, providing the same sort of freshness you would expect from a taco. I picked up a slice, folded it in half lengthwise, and took a bite - it was A FLAVOR FIESTA IN MY FACE. Maybe not, but it was still very good. More importantly, the crust was fresh and clean, providing just the right bit of chew a good pizza demands. I can see why Capone's might be a very popular Midtown destination for CLA'ers. When a bar manages to really get the beer and food, you need to hold onto that place like grim death.

Coeur d Alene's finest sports bar!! Loaded with a cool collection of memorabilia and old baseball gloves this cool little restaurant/bar is the perfect place to watch a game or to simply hook up with friends and family. Its kid friendly as well. Their beer selection is huge!! The pizzas awesome. The sandwiches delicious. My favorite is Tom's pastrami!! The salads large and perfect. While this place is crowded always, it gets double packed on big game days!! Always excellent service, fair prices, and lots of fun!!

While in Idaho, I wanted to experience the real local flavor and not just some tourist trap restaurant, so I asked a local and they told me: Try Capone's! Not too far from the CDA Resort, my son & I started hiking. Finally we come upon a cute, quaint little pub-like building and go inside. I hesitate to call it a Sports Bar, but my first impression was just that! It is very impressive-with lots of memorabilia and a whole bunch of beer taps! Now I am no big beer drinker-wine is my thing-but I thought this place must be heaven to the real brew quaffer. If it wasn't so chilly, I would have sat outside in the nice outdoor patio area. As such, the pizza was delicious, the green salad-tasty and I did try one of those Pacific Northwest Ales and that of course was great too. I happen to know someone named Capone so I bought some of their hoodies, shirts, and hats and complimented the owners: Tom and Teresa Capone on their nice place. It really has a hospitable aura about it-where you would want to hang out and throw some beer back, and cheer on those Seattle teams. I enjoyed oggling the Idaho men who really can fill out a flannel shirt and possess that outdoorsy Alaska look! If I lived in town, I know where I would get drunk at!

One of my favorite places and I always feel like "Norm" when I arrive. Great craft beer selection and pub food.

While driving around aimlessly with some friends the other night, someone mentioned this place was on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. I love Guy Fieri and I love food, so we immediately begun our 1.5 hour drive to Coeur D'Alene. I got the Hawaiian burger. The buns were amazing, the ham was amazing, the sauce was amazing.....um.....I don't know what else to say but that it was amazing. I could have eaten at least 4 more. The garlic fries, as well as the normal fries, were both delicious. The Fiance got some spicy burger and loved it as well. Our friends split a pizza...I think like a Greek chicken one or something? They said it was good, though the chicken wasn't too seasoned I guess. The place seems pretty trashy. The people there were all pretty trashy. Our waitress was nice, though. The food was much better than what you'd expect it to be, from the looks of the place. But bottom line? The food was great and I crave it, therefore it deserves 5 stars and I will gladly recommend it to anyone.

Great place to watch the big game. Wings were great and they had more brews on tap than most big cities. Had a good sports atmosphere and very friendly staff. Of all the places in CDA, this is the go to place to watch any sports event.

All I have to say is... Heart Blocker pizza...oh so good! Great place and atmosphere. Good sandwichs and nice selection of beers on tap. Outstanding!

Just a great beer/wing/salad pizza joint. Music and lots of local flavor. If your a tourist this is a good place to see a fun local vibe and crowd. Yummy sweet/hot boneless wings and tons of taps.

Love this place, I could come here once or more a week and be happy. Love the pizza and Thai Salad and pretty much everything else I've had. The wings, though, are amazing and my usual order. My preference is the sweet hot sauce. I definitely have to watch who I'm sitting by if I want to get any. The service, however, is hit or miss. Most visits our service is decent but I wouldn't recommend them for their service.

Capone's is among the Top Five sports bar and restaurant experiences you'll have anywhere in the Inland Northwest. The food is far better than just pub grub, the staff is well trained, fast, and perceptive, and the number of taps on the wall means you will have all the selection you'd want. I'll drive out of my way to meet someone at Capone's, as will most of the locals in Kootenai County. It's that good.

If you're looking for a great hangout with decent food and a plethora of beers, then this is your place. I like to come here to meet friends, have the occasional calorie-bomb meal, and drink beer. The food is good old fashioned bar food, but well made with sometimes creative combinations. Their pizzas are good and my favorites are their hot sandwiches. Bring your appetite! The only real down side about this place for me is the noise level. I've left that place some nights with a sore throat from yelling for hours to talk to friends.

5 stars for the homemade bread and for the best pizza we can find in the area. Thin crust, wood fire yumminess! Not beer drinkers but their selection was impressive! Now for the 3 star food. The pastrami sand was a joke... Mostly bread, little meat. The 5 cheese burger seen on D, D& Dives was ordered medium though was delivered well done and dry. We expected more from these sandwiches.... We will def visit again for pizza and a drink!

Had pizza from here last night and the Philly tonight. Just off the charts AWESOME! If I lived near Capone's they would have to name a booth after me.

We heard this was a place worth checking out. While it has a very strong sports bar vibe, it has a great beer selection and the food and service was good and we felt comfortable having our kids there. We would come back.

Yummy Food!! I really enjoy going to Capone's. I have been there about 5-6 time sand everytime I order something different and the food is always great! I recommed the fish and chips. Yum!

Fantastic burgers, best pizza in town, great sandwiches. Enormous microbrew selection. Love coming here. Only improvement would be no smoking outside near outdoor seating area.

Crowded and loud, but we had great service and delicious food and drinks nonetheless. All ages on our party of 11 were very pleased with the overall experience. Mixed drinks nice and strong, good variety of microbrews on tap.

Pretty excited to experience this place. Drove all the way from Yakima to be aggrevated. Drive inns Diners and Dives !! Fine example that you should not believe what you see on TV. And the food was so so .... Take earplugs and for the fowl language, dont take your children :(

My boyfriend and I were in town for a couple days and looking for a good place to watch the BSU vs VT game. While looking over the local offerings on Yelp I ran into Capone's. It looked like the kind of place I could enjoy any beer imaginable, some great food, and maybe meet a few new friendly faces in the process. All of the above ended up being the case at Capone's. The draught selection was superb, the game was on every last TV, the service was excellent, the crowd was perfect, and the owner and his family spent the night enjoying the festivities along side everyone else. I couldn't have imagined a better place to hang out for the evening. I look forward to coming back soon! Thanks Tom and Teresa!

I hesitate to review, since the place is already quite busy, and I might like to go there again. Have a friend hold your place in line while you go to the bar for starter-Pints. Great Pub, with a HUGE collection of baseball Gloves, Mitts, and Tap Handles on display. Had Pizza and Beer here twice with family, all in one holiday visit. You can build your own, with either white or red sauce. 41 Beer Taps. Loved the creamy Irish Stout with the Skull and Bones image on the tap. (Death Stout? - staff was too busy to answer questions about it) Decent Pizza, too. This place is spacious, but crowded, even on a weeknight. People watch games here, and they have a Holiday Ale Fest in December. There's a fireplace on one side; and Pinball and other games to help keep kids occupied when families dine together. Coloring books and crayons are there for the tykes. Relax, order enough to have Take Home, and have a good time.

Saw this on diners, drive-ins and dives and thought we would try it when driving through the area, it was amazing! You have to try the rocket sauce. The Philly cheesesteak and garlic fries were amazing as well! Great service and prices too. I highly recommend!

my wife and i have been here a few times to eat and the food is pretty good. fun atmosphere and lots of tvs turned to whatever game might be on. however, as i learned today, not a good place to get a pizza to go. nothing special about their pizza at all, skimpy toppings, and definitely not worth the $28 i was charged for a large half and half. times like that really makes me with this town had a papa johns. and as others have mentioned, the service is pretty iffy too. the girl that waited on my today must have been having a rough day or something.

The food was outstanding! Had the Cajun chicken grinder w/ a cup of clam chowder. Sat at the bar and the staff was friendly and helpful. I must say though that the clientele was pretty trashy! Would definitely go back for the food!

My wife and I spent a day riding our bikes through Coeur d'Alene during 'Art on the Green.' At the end of it all, we stumbled across Capone's. Originally, we had only plan to stop for a quick beer, but eventually we were tempted by the menu. While perusing the menu, we were enduring the boorish guffaws of some twenty-something blathering tool from a table nearby. When our waitress, Jaime, returned we ordered food and asked to move to a different table. Despite leaving her section, Jaime was more than happy to help us move. Now in Yvonne's section, we were able to enjoy the outside seating. Yvonne was very quick with drinks, food, and dining amenities. Supporting bus staff were also on top of empty glasses and dishes. The price of the food was typical for this type of restaurant. We order the Philly Cheesesteak Deluxe and the Italiano sandwich which we shared. We both found the Cheesesteak to be lacking much in the way of spices, though the sandwich was ample. It was just a little bland. We were able to compensate with some extra mayo and a drizzle of their Rocket Sauce. The Italiano, however, was a flavor explosion and I recommend it highly. All in all, we suspect we will return the next time we're visiting Coeur d'Alene.

Great bar, lots of taps, and great food. The stone cooked pizza was amazing. I loved their philly cheese steak deluxe sandwich with garlic cheese fries. My family really enjoys their pastrami grinder and pizza blanco. Fun place and even better if you go late at night. Hopping college crowd but it gets very packed. I will come back if im ever in the area.

We went there after seeing it on Diner Drive Ins and Dives on Food Network. We were very happy and have been back several times. We had their Blanco Pizza - creamy garlic sauce, homemade mozzarella, kalamata olives, artichoke hearts, tomatoes and basil. It has a nice thin crust. VERY VERY good. We also usually get the homemade fried mozzarella that comes with an awesome dipping marinara sauce - best I have ever had. They make the mozzarella in house. Great service, great atmosphere.

I love this place. If they only had the beer that they do, it would be enough-but it is much more! After having only a pint or two for my first couple of visits, I found myself needing a bite on a subsequent visit. Tried the sliders and I was hooked! I later took guests here and ordered a full-sized burger...they are delish! My company really enjoyed their food as well. Everyone here has been friendly-staff and patrons. It DOES get busy on those "key evenings"-and the place packs out (we had some hoverers waiting on our table while we finished our beers). But I can't blame people for wanting to be here! Most recently, I attended Capone's 12 Ales of Christmas. Food, prizes, and 12 amazing winter ales. I had a blast! love it, love it, love it! (oh, and I'm not a sports fan at all, but they definitely have that area covered in decor and tvs)

Ate here twice. The first was right after the filming of an episode of "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" and the place was still crowded for a Monday night. The pizza we ordered for takeout was alright - the taste and quality were certainly nothing to write home about, and not commensurate with the 40 minute wait it took to make. The other time we ate in, ordering the chicken pesto salad and a pastrami sandwich. The salad was average, and the pastrami sandwich, in spite of it's top billing on the menu "stacked with pastrami" was actually a bit chincy on the meat. Not good for a pastrami sandwich. Finally, even though they have a good beer selection, the waitress never came back to check on us the entire time after we were served. Would like to have ordered another beer, but alas, our waitress, who seemed to have lots of time for other customers, never came back to us. I have come to find that places that have a high level of tourist business also seem to have low quality service, and places that rely on locals coming back again, seem to have good service - because they have to. I will be back again. To Coeur D Alene - not Capones.
